What "free" actually means
Free can be a slippery word in software, so let's be precise:
- $0/month. No subscription. No annual plan. No "free trial" that expires.
- No card required. You install the bot and connect a wallet — that's it.
- Every feature included. There is no longer a list of "premium-only" features. If XOE can do it, your server can use it.
- One simple cost: a flat 5% fee on crypto transactions (USDC on Base and Solana). You only ever pay when your community actually pays you.

Everything that's now free for every server
Here's the complete list of what used to be split across tiers and is now available to everyone:

Why we did this
The honest answer: the two-tier model created friction that hurt everyone, including us.
Communities that would benefit most from token gating or security features — newer servers, NFT projects, smaller creators — were exactly the ones least likely to commit to a monthly subscription before they'd earned anything. We were gating our best features away from the people who needed them. Meanwhile, the subscription added billing complexity, support overhead, and a constant "should I upgrade?" decision for server owners who just wanted to get paid.
A single, transparent percentage fee fixes all of that. You install XOE, you get every feature, and you only pay when money actually moves. Our incentives are now perfectly aligned with yours: we earn when you earn, and not a moment before.
How the 5% fee works
When a member pays your server in USDC, XOE takes a flat 5% and forwards the remaining 95% directly to your wallet. There are no tiers, no volume thresholds, and no separate processing markup beyond standard network gas (which on Base and Solana is a fraction of a cent).
A quick example:
- A member buys a $50 access pass in USDC.
- XOE's fee is 5% → $2.50.
- You receive $47.50, straight to your wallet, instantly.
Because there's no monthly subscription, your fixed cost is always $0. A server that processes nothing in a given month pays nothing. Compare that to platforms charging $29/month before you've made a single sale.
What about card payments?
Card payments were part of the old premium tier and have been retired. XOE is now crypto-only: USDC on Base and Solana. For crypto-native communities — the audiences XOE serves best — this is the better trade-off: no chargebacks, instant settlement, no bank holds, and no geographic restrictions. If your members already hold USDC, checkout is faster and cheaper than cards ever were.
What happens to existing premium servers?
Nothing you need to worry about. Every feature your server had under premium is still active — it's just free now. There's no plan to manage, nothing to cancel, and nothing to renew. If you were paying for XOE Premium, that's done; you keep all the capabilities at no cost.
